Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 2, 2026
Performance Optimization, Inc. ("Performance Optimization," "we," "us," or "our") operates performanceoptimization.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site and through the emails, text messages, and calls that follow from it, how we use and share that information, and the choices you have.
By using the Site or submitting a form on it, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or submit your information.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form on the Site, you give us information like:
- Contact details: your first and last name, email address, and phone number.
- Details about you: whether you're an athlete, parent, agent, executive, or something else; your sport and level, or your role and company; and your organization and role.
- Details about your team or event, if you ask about team coaching or speaking: things like your organization type, team size, event name, dates, location, format, and audience.
- Your goals and anything else you choose to write in the form.
- Your preferences, like the best time to reach you and whether you agree to receive text messages.
You also give us information when you email, text, or call us, or reply to our messages.
Team coaching call recordings. If your team or company works with us, our team coaching calls may be recorded, and a link to the recording is shared with the members of that team or company so anyone who missed the call can watch it. We don't share team call recordings with anyone outside that team or company.
Information we collect automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information, like your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the website that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to deliver the Site, keep it secure, and block spam and abuse. We may also use privacy-friendly analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. When you open our emails or click their links, our email provider may record that, which helps us know our emails are being delivered and read.
Information from others. Sometimes someone else gives us information about you, like a parent requesting coaching for their son or daughter, an agent reaching out on behalf of a client, or someone who refers you to us. If you give us information about another person, please make sure you have their permission.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Contact you about your request and set up your free call, team coaching inquiry, or speaking inquiry.
- Send you the free resource you asked for, and emails you signed up to receive.
- Decide whether our coaching is a good fit for you, and provide coaching if you become a client.
- Answer your questions and provide support.
- Improve the Site, our coaching, and our communications.
- Keep the Site and our records secure, and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
- Comply with the law and protect our rights.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone so they can market to you.
We share information only in these situations:
- Service providers that help us run our business and only use your information to provide services to us. These include our website host and security provider (Cloudflare), and our customer relationship, email, and text messaging platform (HighLevel, also known as GoHighLevel).
- Professional advisors, like our lawyers and accountants, when needed.
- Legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that the law, a court order, or a government request requires it, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our clients, our company, or others.
- A business transfer, if our company is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Your information would remain protected by this policy.
- With your permission, in any other situation.
4. Text messages
If you check the box agreeing to receive text messages, we may text you about your request, for example to set up a time for your free call. Checking the box is optional and is not required to submit any form or to work with us.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages, and reply HELP for help. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the sharing described in this policy excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
5. Emails
If you sign up for our free resource or emails, we'll send you the resource and occasional emails about mindset, habits, and our coaching. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Even after you unsubscribe, we may still send you messages about a request you made or coaching you're receiving.
6. Cookies and tracking
We keep tracking to a minimum. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't follow you across other websites. Our hosting provider may use small cookies that are strictly necessary to keep the Site secure and tell real visitors apart from bots. Our analytics, if used, don't rely on cookies. Because we don't track you across websites, we don't respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
If we ever add new tracking tools, like advertising pixels, we'll update this policy first.
7. Confidentiality of our clients
We never share who we coach. We don't use any client's name, picture, story, or results in our marketing without that client's permission. What our clients share with us in coaching stays between us, except where the law requires otherwise.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, like staying in touch about coaching you asked about, or as long as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.
9. How we protect it
We use trusted providers and reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No website, email, or text message can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we can't promise perfect security, but we take protecting your information seriously.
10. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Ask what personal information we have about you.
- Ask us to correct information that's wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email.
- Stop text messages by replying STOP.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under your state's law. We'll honor those rights as the law requires, and we won't treat you differently for using them.
To make a request, contact us using the information at the end of this policy. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it.
11. Children and teens
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
We coach athletes who are 14 or older. If you're under 18, please have a parent or guardian fill out the form, or get their permission before you do.
12. Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites, like Amazon for our books. We're not responsible for how those websites handle your information, so please read their privacy policies.
13. Visitors outside the United States
We're based in the United States, and the information we collect is stored and processed in the United States. If you're located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to the United States, where privacy laws may be different from those in your country.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we may also let you know by email.
15. Contact us
